Subcommitees
1. FOSTERING ACADEMIC COLLABORATION AND EXCHANGE:
- To establish and strengthen collaborative relationships between Canadian and Sri Lankan academic institutions, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, research, and academic staff and establishing dual and joint academic programs.
2. SUPPORTING SRI LANKAN ACADEMICS AND STUDENTS IN SRI LANKA:
- To provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Sri Lankan academics and students studying in Sri Lankan universities, helping them to navigate academic challenges and educate them with recent advances/emerging topics in a variety of disciplines
- Provide mentorship and guidance for Sri Lankan academics to meet international standards of excellence
- Encourage top Sri Lankan students to apply for graduate studies in Canada
- Facilitate collaborative development of pedagogical material and provide resources for effective teaching and learning [Books/infrastructure]
3. ENHANCING RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES:
- To identify and create opportunities for joint research projects and collaborations between Canadian and Sri Lankan academics, focusing on areas of mutual interest and benefit and to advance the research culture of Sri Lankan Universities
4. BUILDING INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC NETWORKS AND MULTINATIONAL PROJECTS:
- To initiate and develop joint academic projects and research initiatives that involve Sri Lankan academics in other countries and regions, fostering a global network of collaboration. This objective aims to create a platform where academics from various countries can collaborate on projects, share expertise, and address global challenges with a diverse set of perspectives.
5. SUPPORTING SRI LANKAN STUDENTS IN CANADA:
- To provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Sri Lankan students studying in Canadian universities, helping them to navigate academic challenges and integrate into the Canadian educational system.
